Ipomea is a shamanic teacher plant used for healing and astral traveling. There is much history involved in the shamanic plants. Different species of Ipomea and different parts of the plants are used in different ceremonies. For example seeds of the Mexican Morning Glory species were used by the Aztecs and Zapotecs in shamanistic and priestly divination rituals.
