Pumayana Yoga Mats are designed to last, with a natural rubber base and an
absorbent top layer made from recycled plastic bottles. By purchasing a
Pumayana Yoga Mat you are helping to reduce landfill and ocean pollution.
The top layer is non slip meaning you can safely use this yoga mat for any
type of yoga, hot yoga or Pilates.
Made with sustainable natural rubber
We use natural organic rubber not synthetic. Many yoga mats are made from
synthetic rubber made from the polymerization of petroleum based products.
Our natural organic rubber is made from the latex of rubber trees - in other
words the trees did not have to be cut down, the latex is extracted from
healthy living rubber trees.
Please note the materials we use do make these yoga mats a little heavier than mass produced ones.

You may think the sound of an absorbent top layer made from recycled plastic bottles is a little strange and you may be unsure of the feel but we can tell you now that they feel FANTASTIC.
The Pumayana Yoga Mat is luxurious to the touch. It literally feels like velvet but the grip is amazing perfect for any type of Yoga, especially hot yoga and pilates.
Also if you want more grip, it can be increased by just spraying water onto the yoga mat.
